go flashpacker

Conceived by Chris Rolls (me!), go flashpacker started out life as a resource for travellers to South East Asia. As a regular visitor to the area I found that many people would ask me for information, so anything from how to get there, what to do when you got there, and recommendations (or what to avoid) on tours etc – putting this into website form seemed the most logical approach.

What’s in a name?

I would class myself as a Flashpacker – but what does that mean? To me it means not travelling on a tight budget, staying in somewhere that has hot running water, and some level of comfort. I have travelled with no money in the past and right now I’m lucky enough not to have to… I’m not saying I travel in 5 star luxury, but there are definately gems to be found if you know where to look… I believe that is where we come in.

The destinations we can offer advice on at present vary from South East Asia, to Asia and South America. This is driven by our clients and we are certainly not afraid of exploring new territories… we are travellers after all.

We work with some of the best providers in the industry to give our clients what they are looking for. Whether that is trekking in the Andes or Himalayas, or just sitting on a beach in Vietnam…

One day in the future maybe go flashpacker will provide enough of an income to make a living, without losing sight of our main aim. This being to provide our clients with all the information they need to make their own decisions… it’s their trip at the end of the day.
