Festival Tours

Bhutan is as famous for it’s festivals as it is for it’s landscapes.  With around twenty to choose from throughout the year, there is plenty of opportunity to catch one whilst visiting.  Rich in history these festivals have been performed for centuries and are steeped in tradition.

Bhutanese festivals are colourful affairs, with dancing and fire used as part of blessings.  These are not just performed for tourists, more they are community gatherings that you can be lucky enough to witness.  The festivals take place between March and December and can last anything up to a week… definately a must see.

Birdwatching

Black Necked Crane

This is one for all you ‘twitchers’ out there… Often been referred to as a bird watcher’s paradise and with good reason. With nearly 75% of the country covered in lush natural forest, you can see why for some this is the perfect habitat.

Bhutan is home to over 600 species, many of which on the endangered list.  So for bird lovers out there this is one destination you can’t afford to miss out on.
