Patagonia

Awesome Patagonia

OK so not technically a country, the Patagonia Region is split between Argentina and Chile,  but we have such great ideas on treks here that is deserves it’s on page.

When to go:

The best time to visit Patagonia is during the months of October to March, these months enjoying the highest temperatures.  Although due to it’s location the weather can be variable even at these times, but the scenery more than makes up for it.

What to do:

Trekking is the main activity in the area, but that’s not all there is to offer here. There are great opportunities for mountain biking and rafting through this stunning geography.  One of the most amazing sites to see is the huge (six kilometres wide!) Perito Moreno Glacier – not to be missed!

Language:

As the Patagonia region covers both Argentina and Chile, Spanish is the official language.

Money:

For Argentinian Patagonia the Argentinian Peso is the official currency, with the Chilean Peso for the area of Chilean Patagonia.
